Preparation table

Preparation table

Two blocks wide, two spots, for every cooking mod.

  • Any food can be placed and stacked on it.
  • The kitchen knife cuts what can be cut, one step per stroke: a chicken loses a leg, then the other, then becomes tenders; a tender becomes three nuggets.
  • Breadcrumbs on a free spot make a heap; a chili pepper makes it spicy, paprika chili. A raw piece rolled in it comes out breaded, four per click.
  • Sneak with an empty hand: take back what's on it, or the heap.

Deep fryer

Deep fryer

A tank of sunflower oil and a basket; everything shows: the oil level, the basket, the pieces turning golden, the bubbling oil.

  • A bucket of sunflower oil (or any fluid container) pours into the tank. The oil comes from MoreFood: Extract, or any mod that presses it.
  • What you fry (raw fries, breaded nuggets, tenders, legs) goes in the raised basket.
  • Empty hand: the basket goes down into the oil, or comes up; raised and done, take the fried pieces.
  • A paper cone or tray held to the raised, cooked basket: a served dish.

The same grinds as the electric mill, slower, on a corner of the counter.

Prep counter

Prep counter

A refrigerated counter: granite top, four bins, sneeze guard. It stores anything edible, and MoreFood: Crops' cut vegetables.

An ingredient in hand on an empty bin (or one with the same ingredient): the whole stack goes in. Empty hand: one portion; sneaking, eight.

Several side by side make a snack-bar counter.

Tray

The fast-food tray. Placed on a table, a counter, the preparation table: any food from any mod can go on it, and a sauce bottle fills the cup.

Empty hand: one bite; the hand takes a piece, dips it in the sauce, brings it to your mouth. Sneak with an empty hand: take the tray and what's on it, and eat while holding it.

The spiral tub for every dough: bread, brioche, sweet pastry, pizza dough. It turns with a redstone signal, or faster with power (FE).

  • Ingredients in hand pour into the tub; a bucket of water or milk empties into it.
  • Empty hand: start, pause, resume; once ready, take the dough out piece by piece.
  • Sneak with an empty hand: take back what was not used.

Butter churn

Butter churn

A glass jar, a crank, two buckets of milk at most.

  • Exactly three turns: the cream rises and separates, an ivory layer above the milk. A glass bottle scoops it (three per bucket).
  • Ten turns: the milk froths, then the butter comes; empty hand takes the blocks out.

Egg separating bowls

Egg separating bowls

Two glass bowls. An egg in hand: crack it on the rim, pass the yolk from shell to shell; the white runs into the big bowl, the yolk drops into the small one. Six eggs at most.

  • Empty hand on a bowl: take its whites, or its yolks. Sneak: empty both.
  • Whites for macarons and meringue, yolks for the creams.

Stand mixer

Stand mixer

The stand mixer: the kneader’s gestures, a balloon whisk that spins and travels round the bowl. It needs a redstone signal or power (FE).

  • Eggs, sugar, flour, a bowl: the yellow batter pales and rises into a foam. Sponge, chocolate sponge, meringue (MoreFood: Pastry).
  • Empty hand: the bowl of batter; a MoreFood: Pastry piping bag takes meringue straight from it.

The seven sauces

A full bottle gives eight squeezes; what's left shows through its windows and under its icon.

It tops a bread or flatbread placed on a table (kebab, burger), and fills the tray's cup. Sneak and right-click a piece of furniture: it stands there, four per block; empty hand to take it back.

Bottles are made with a glass bottle, or MoreIndustry: Petrol's plastic pot.
