Right-click with the cup in hand: you smell it, two sips, then down it. Haste. A medium roast adds Speed, a dark roast hits harder (Haste II, for longer).

The empty cup comes back to your hand. Coffee cups show their roast: light, medium or dark.

With an espresso still on the tray and the portafilter removed or used, press the button again: hot water tops up the cup.

You blow on it. Long-lasting Haste.

Drying Bed

Drying Bed

A net stretched over a bamboo frame. Sixteen handfuls at most, and never coffee and tea on the same bed.

  • Cherries or leaves in hand, right-click: you spread four handfuls.
  • Empty hand, right-click: a stroke of the rake, which turns the layer and saves time.
  • Crouching, empty hand: you gather everything.

Coffee: cherries only dry in the sun (open sky, daytime, no rain), in about five minutes. Once dry, the skin falls off as dust: green coffee remains.

Tea: leaves wither anywhere in two minutes; gathered then, they are green tea. Leave them three more minutes: they oxidise to copper, black tea.

Gathering too early gives back what you spread: nothing is lost.

Drum Roaster

Drum Roaster

Two blocks: the drum over its firebox, and the cooling tray beside it.

1. The fire: right-click with wood, coal or any fuel, then a flint and steel to light it.

2. The hopper: right-click with green coffee, four handfuls at a time, eight at most.

3. Charging: empty hand, right-click pulls the slide. It needs at least 180 °C.

4. Roasting: green, yellow, then brown. At first crack (half a minute), light; between the cracks, medium; past second crack, dark. Too long and it burns, the chimney smokes black. Empty hand, right-click: the trier tells you how far the beans are.

5. Discharging: crouch with an empty hand to open the door (not before first crack).

6. The tray: the beans steam for about ten seconds, then right-click the tray to take them.
